In your home workshop or craft area you probably use a few types of tape depending on your work. It might be handy to have one jumbo dispenser that handles all types of tape that you regularly use. Here's how to make one out of scrap lumber, a dowel, and a hacksaw blade.
Woodworking weblog American Woodworker needed such a dispenser and made one from ?-inch lumber to build boxes to hold various types of tape. In the side panels small cuts were made so that a filler block can be inserted into the standard three-inch diameter opening in a tape roll and replaced as needed. A hacksaw blade is mounted to the edge of the dispenser for easy cutting. The filler blocks are made from 2-3/16-inch blocks with rounded corners and a enough of a ?-inch dowel to fill the gaps in the side panels.
